Foot pain can be the most debilitating in every day life, since we all use our feet every day to move. Pain can affect how well we are able to work, take care of our families and so much more. Let us help relieve the pain and get you back on your feet!
What is Plantar Fasciitis?
The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. If you strain your plantar fascia, it gets weak, swollen, and irritated (inflamed). However there is hope! Here at Rehab Guru, we specialize in the treatment of foot conditions such as PF.
What causes Plantar Fasciitis?
There are several factors that contribute to plantar fasciitis. Some of which are “flat feet”, “high arches”, tight calves and poor walking mechanics.
What treatment options are best?
Physical Therapy is the perfect treatment choice for foot pain. It has a very high success rate for healing when treated properly and as early as possible.
There is an option to receive injections for the pain, but we feel that our approach gets to the root of the problem, not just treat the symptoms. Since most foot pain is often related to muscle imbalances above the foot and ankle, we take a comprehensive look at your musculature, and give a well rounded plan to treat your condition, and relieve pain long term incorporating hands on techniques, home stretching, and patient education.
