Meet the Rehab Guru Staff
Diana Schwahn, PT, ATC, MA
Diana Schwahn has been a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer for more than 25 years. She received her degree in physical therapy from the University of New Mexico and her Athletic Trainers Certification from Weber State University. Diana received her master’s degree in health and education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She also has a certification in Dry Needling from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. She is certified through the Titleist Performance Institute to perform Golf Screens and treat golf related injuries. She has become an expert in Omaha for treating golf related injuries. She is also certified in the jumpstart program with Muscle Activation Techniques. MAT is used to treat muscle imbalance and athletic based injuries. In addition, Diana specializes in manual therapy and myofascial release for the treatment of spine injuries, as well as plantar fasciitis, TMJ and various other orthopedic-related injuries. She has a certification in the Graston Techniques and has taken classes through the Cranial Facial Academy for treatment of facial pain, TMJ and headaches. Her knowledge and understanding includes a wholistic approach which treats the whole person from head to toe. She has been in private practice for 20 years. She has taken over 200 contining education courses specializing in TMJ , foot injuries and back pain. Diana is also TPI-certified medical professional with the Titleist Performance Institute as a Medical Professional. She does a golf specific assessments and rehabilitation techniques to address golf related injuries and muscle imbalances. Diana works with golfers of all ages to improve their swing through improving their physical potential Diana is an avid runner and enjoys hiking and outdoor activities in her spare time. Grace is also a an avid runner.
Lauren R. Kitchen Lauren is licensed part-time PTA who recently joined the team. She received her Bachelors of Science in 2012 and has been in the Physical Therapy field since 2015 after graduating from Clarkson College. She is passionate about healing bodies and holds a special interest in working with children and athletes. Lauren played Division 1 golf and wants to use that knowledge in helping heal sport injuries and learn more about orthopedics. One of many things she enjoys about being a PTA is helping adults and kids learn how to problem solve and meet new goals in order to improve and meet milestones. Lauren also has a passion for spreading information and has been a lab assistant at Iowa Western Community College for the pediatric neurology course. When Lauren is not at work, she loves spending time with her family, Zumba, playing golf, yoga, and taking her 1 year old son to swim lessons!
Jamie Martin, LMT, PTA
Jamie Martin is a licensed massage therapist and physical therapist assistant. He graduated from Omaha School of Massage Therapy in June 2008 and has been doing therapeutic massage for seven years. Jamie graduated from Nebraska Methodist College in 2014. He currently has his Massage Therapy Business located in Rehab Guru and he feels blessed to have the opportunity to work in a field he is so passionate about.
Grace (Shop Dog and Greeter)
We are so grateful to have Grace be a part of our practice. She is a 6 year old mini golden doodle with a very sweet personality. You may meet her as our greeter you at the door or possibly in a treatment room.
