Dry Needling Physical Therapy
Dry Needling is a common treatment at Rehab Guru Physical Therapy in Omaha. If you have tight and painful muscles, then Dry Needling might be the answer for you. Dry needling involves the insertion of a fine filament into a muscle and specifically into a myofascial trigger point. This technique helps bring amazing pain relief for common musculoskeletal injuries. The needle that is used is very thin and rarely causes any pain when it is inserted. We insert the needle into the “trigger points” facilitating a relaxation response to the muscle. The approach has very little pain with great results. Dry Needling provides pain relief without the use of medication. Typically it takes 4-6 sessions of dry needling to get good results, however, most people will know if Dry Needling is right for them after 1-2 treatments.
